Landon Jay- 3 Months 6/19/14

Wow! I am very late in getting to Landon's three month post, but time is flying by and I don't feel like I have time to sit down at the computer to write! However, I better write things down or I am going to forget! Here goes it!

Weight: We don't have an exact measurement, since he didn't have a 3 month check-up, but my guess is around 14 1/2 pounds or so. He is getting to be a chunky baby!

Height: My guess is 23 1/2 inches, but once again, this is just a guess.

Miles Traveled: 3,230 miles! We made a couple trips to my parent's house, a trip to Albert Lea, a trip to Rochester, a trip to Mankato, a trip to Duluth, and a trip to Mason City!

Sleeping: This is finally getting much better! Typically Landon will have a bottle right before bed and then sleep from 9:30-4:30. Then, he'll get up to eat/ have his diaper changed, and then go back to sleep from 5:00-7:30 or so. Every night is a little different, but this is somewhat how it goes. Before 3 months, I struggled getting Landon to take naps because he never really seemed tired. Well, I started reading a few sleep articles to learn about signs for when babies are tired. I also read that at 3 months, babies should only be awake for 2 hour intervals, so Landon needed to get more sleep. Once I could pick up on his tired signs, I was able to get him to sleep more. Right now he is usually awake for 2 hours and then he sleeps for 40 minutes, awake for 2 hours, sleeps for 40 minutes. They aren't great naps, but at least he is sleeping more.

Feeding: He is eating between 4 and 5 ounces every 3 hours. Sometimes he can go for longer stretches, but that's only if he is sleeping. He LOVES his food :)

Clothing: He is growing so much and currently wears 3-6 month clothing. He has a few 0-3 month onesies that fit, but the majority of his clothes are 3-6 month. He has a chubby stomach and short legs, so every outfit is a little different in regards to how it fits him.

Diaper Changes/Sizes: Size 2. He doesn't really mind getting his diaper changed anymore.

Looks: I think he looks more and more like me. He has the most perfectly shaped round head and little rolls on his wrists and thighs. Seriously, I could just eat him up sometimes! He still has his bright blue eyes and his hair changes from blonde, to brown, to a hint of red. I'm really curious to see what color hair he has. He has a bigger tummy, short legs, and some rolls that I love!

Nicknames: Bugaboo, snookums, half-pint, beezie, peanut, baby Landon.

Likes:His hands, any kind of music, the swing, going for walks, rocking out in his activity rocker, sometimes tummy time, laying on his activity mat and watching the mobile, BATH TIME and more bath time, and being cuddled! I must say that bath time is an absolute joy with him. He splashes and kicks so much that I am usually soaked by the end of it. He loves to be in water, so I hope he is a swimmer someday.

Dislikes: Being naked, getting out of the bath, sometimes take his clothes off (if they are more form fitting), sometimes tummy time, and getting out of the bath tub.

Personality: He is an absolute ham ball! Seriously, I know I am biased, but I have never met a happier baby who smiles non-stop. Whether we are outside walking, sitting inside reading a book, he is swinging in his swing... he is always smiling. He has started to find his voice and he makes the cutest squeals and such sweet coos. He is definitely my child by the amount that he smiles and "talks!" I post pictures on Facebook and everyone asks me if he is ever crabby, and honestly, he isn't a crabby baby. Yes, if he is overtired or hungry, then he will fuss, but even that isn't that bad. I'm not saying things are perfect, but he is definitely a happy baby and he makes life so much fun! As much as I love watching him grow and learn new things, I am sad at the same time because that means he is getting too big!

Randoms: We did have to take Landon to the doctor on June 2nd because we thought he had an ear infection or some type of cold. He was really fussy, wouldn't eat much, had green gunk in his nose, and just didn't seem like himself. The doctor said his ears looked good, but he told us to give him Tylenol and use this boogie mist for his nose. It wasn't the easiest, but it did work out and it only took him a few days to get better.

My brother got enjoyed to his fiance, Laura, so we are all very excited! Landon is going to be the ring bearer and I think he will look so cute in a tux! They are getting married July 18th, 2015, so this mama has to get losing weight... let the walking and swimming begin!

I've been able to be home all summer with Landon, since teachers have the summer off, and it has been really nice! We've been able to go on multiple walks a day, hang outside, play, play, and more play, shop, and just hang out. I feel so blessed I can be with him for the first 5 months of his life. Although I know daycare is a good thing and he will learn so much, I'm sad at the thought of him going there at the end of August :( Oh well, at least I can soak up this summer with him.

Well, here are some pictures:

Morning cuddles and smirks are my favorite!
Celebrating Kyle and Laura's engagement... he was less than amused with his tuxedo onesie!
Chewing on his hands and telling me a story!
He LOVES his Fisher Price jumparoo!
Rocking out in his Fisher Price rocker!
Tummy time fun! I love his smirk!
Such a trooper while we shopped for 8 hours to help Carrie with her wedding plans!
Until next time... God bless!
